It plays a huge role in the spirituality of tribes. 
 
 Music and dance are used as a way of storytelling about their land, dreamtime, animals etc. It can also be used to celebrate life occasions such as a coming of age. Sometimes, there’s even gender-specific ceremonies. 
 
A corroborree is where aboriginals gather to re-enact the Dreaming through dance and music. Modern day organisations such as Bangarra, which is founded by aboriginals, bring this history back to life to other (non-aboriginal) communities.

During the dance there are imitations of animals to bring it to life. It is used to celebrate new life phases for children. Also implemented in weddings and funerals.

There are even organisations like Aboriginal Centre Performing Arts and Bangarra Dance Theatre.
During the dance indigenous dancers wear a Regalia.
Regalia is the name for sacred clothes, accessories and artefacts that the dancers wear during the dance.

The dance is about a crane bird searching for food. For this it needs a feeding ground. Once it has found it it is going down to eat. After eating the birds are happy and starting to dance.

The bodypaint relates to the bird. The dance is performed by multiple men towards pretending to be birds.
There are sounds related to the bird being implemented in the dance. The facial expressions firstly note to be stressed and afterwards happy.

This kind of art represents the five universal elements: fire, spirit, air/wind, water and earth. 

To make it universal the aboriginals used Ochres to paint on rocks. Because there is not one written language for the aboriginals, they portrayed their important cultural story by painting symbols and icons through arts. 

Not only their cultural stories, they also drew their survival skills on these rock to pass the skills on to the next generation. It is pigment which occurs naturally in rocks and soil, through this way it was perfect to use to make aboriginal arts. 

Some Aboriginal painters even used kangaroo blood to mix with the ochres. By doing this, the blood will bind the pigment. Back in the day they used their own hands, bush leaves, native shrub that grows in abundance.

They created a wide range of instruments, the famous of all is the Didgeridoo. It is a trumpet-like wind instrument. The aboriginal people of Northern Australia developed this wind instrument 1.500 years ago.

Another famous one is the Bullroarer, this is one oldest musical instruments which is again developed by the Aborigines. This instrument was used to communicate across large distances. Indigenous Australian community says that the bullroarer can hosts voices of great ancestral spirits that.
