Colleges want people to make these decisions and want you to attend

, that’s why they add all these cool ammentitues. It is proven that the university market is becoming more and more competitive, therefore  there is an increasing number of colleges that are building amenities to attract students. In order for these colleges to implement all these amenities to attract students, they need to raise their prices, and people forget this. The money has to come out of somewhere.The average starting cost of amenity projects at colleges and universities is $9 million. Of course colleges didn’t mean for tuition to be raised, but it did, which makes student debt across the country larger each year. 

Fafsa: 

Fafsa was created to let all students have an equal opportunity to go to college. They give out grants, scholarships, and loans to students all across the country each year. This significantly helps students that come from families of lower income, but doesn’t help middle class students. Middle class students don’t get as much of a chance to earn financial aid, since they have more money than lower class families, however this doesn’t mean that they can pay for college. Middle class debt is the greatest source of student debt across all college students. It’s higher than the lower and upper classes' debt, which is a problem that fafsa didn’t help solve, and even made it more frustrating for people in the middle class since they aren't rewarded with as much aid as you would think. Fafsa wanted to help students pay for college, but in the end their help was mostly limited to the lower class, which is something they didn’t mean to do.
