The anger was coming from the “outsiders” the ones who isolated them and made them feel as if they weren’t humans. The anger was built off of the pain they were going through. The ignorance of the government and the want to fight back.

“ And I’m angry at straight people who sit smugly wrapped in their self- protective coat of monogamy and heterosexuality confident that this disease has nothing to do with them because "it only happens to “them”.

The article states that it is a way of using this word against those homophobes. Their purpose was to use this word with privilege to remind themselves who they are and how both the ‘lesbians’ and ‘gays’ face the same issues in society. With the word ‘queer’ they are all defined to be equal regardless of what a ‘straight’ person says.

This article was very interesting to read and proved the point that in this time we use poster signs that showcase political views and opinions and how it could be viewed as a form of social movements. Through art and creative posters it unveils the anger and disagreements with the current president or current political decisions. We can see this in many social movements that are happening now such as March For Our Lives, and Black Lives Matter.
