With more students approaching college from a non-traditional status, that requires the use of non-traditional methods such as online education. For students that have circumstances that force them to have to adapt their learning to their current situation, online education is a way for them to get around that and still be able to pursue their dream. The biggest hindrance for the future of online education is the failure to adapt. This means student affairs professionals that believe that their class can be taught the same way online as it is in class, which is not true. Not only are there advantages and disadvantages to online education in terms of curriculum, but the students usually require different learning methods.
