At the concert on September 20th at the Murchison Hall at UNT, I had more fun than I expected to. I honestly thought I was going to be bored and want to leave during intermission. But, it was the opposite of that. I found a new love for classical music. Actually watching the orchestra play, was quite fascinating. I thought I was listening to professionals on spotify or iTunes. Adagio from Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major, Opus 100 by Sergei Prokofiev was my favorite song. It sounded like it was from a broadway show. When I researched it, I found out it was from Cinderella and was very excited about it. All in all, I was quite impressed and will definitely be going back.

"Whether or not classical music is better, or still relevant, or valuable is not the point." (Haefeli). This quote was significant to me because the point of classical music is not about if it is still relevant. People think classical music is boring and "old age". But what I learned from my concert experience is that its not. Classical music is a beautiful combination of melodies and rhythms. Just like any other song. So why do people think its irrelevant? I don't know. I learned that I love classical music and found a new passion for it.
