What I think tessellation means is the process of art. It's a pattern. We had to be really careful with no gaps because the the picture wouldn't be the same. 
2. The way I created this was by making a new page for every tessellation that I made. I would pick the size of the paper and then pick the picture that I would make into a pattern. I cropped the image then made it into the size so that it would fit in the squares. I used the rulers so I was able to see the lines. I made copies of every Layer so that it would fill up the paper. Then I went "Edit" and after "Transform" and make them reflect. Lastly I either lightened the picture or darken it. 
3. My favorite image was the leaf and the sun reflecting towards it. 
4. I struggled with the "transformation" for some of the pictures.
