Pontiac's Rebellion

Pontiac's Rebellion was a war between the British Empire and multiple Native Tribes led by Chief Pontiac. The conflict was about the British "winning" land that the Natives were occupying. This all took place in the area just below the great lakes. The results were that the British eventually understood the Natives point of view and granted them some land back and made it so that colonial settlers could not take over land beyond a certain point in order to preserve the Natives land. This conflict is important because it shows that the Natives were truly fighting for their land and while some countries eventually understood and respected it, others didn't. The rebellion took place from 1763 to 1766. The results were that the Natives fought hard and ended up making a treaty with the English to stop colonization beyond a certain point. This is important to military history as it showed that the Native American tribes had the ability to come together and create a quite powerful military of their own. This gained them respect and allowed them to have a true say in future military procedures involving them or their land.
Anthony Bellome

War between the French and Indians vs the British. Conflict about land and border disagreements. Conflict fought in Virginia in the south to newfound lands of the North. War started in 1754. Conflict ends with Britain driving French out of their colonies and gaining the French island. The war is important because the British’s is war expenses were very high which they would then try to pay off by taxing their colonies in the Americas. This raise in taxes was one of the core reasons of the American Revolution.
