For example I had to talk of my vacation to a stranger and for reasons that I still don't understand this elderly man couldn't stop talking to me, he was fascinated by France and asked tons of questions
here is the thing,I couldn't understand one sentence so I kept on lying.

We entered the room and since this was right after my move to the United states I could barely read.We ended up stuck in the room for two hours until the staff finally decided that they could give us clues to get out of the room.
