You can tell he genuinely cares for the welfare of each child and makes class fun! I like that he encourages healthy habits and and kind/considerate ways of thinking and encourages expanding past the kids comfort zones to challenge themselves. I like that he also emphasizes not to stress about things, to just do your best! We have really enjoyed having him as a teacher.

But now that he has been in Ms. Malain's class he loves being a part of this incredible school. She always encourages him and takes time every week to customize a lesson plan for him to help with his special needs. He tries so hard to do his best because he knows it will not go un-noticed and she will encourage him and help build his confidence. It takes a very special person to be able to multi task the way Ms. Malain does, keeping her students on track, engaged and excited to be a part of her class. I never thought that my son would ever do this well and that this was going to be a struggle for his entire academic life but now that fear is gone and hope lives in our house again. We were late to transfer in and she has been flexible and so supportive to my kid and my family while we have muddled through. I work at home so get to listen in to class fairly frequently and she is usually so upbeat and excited to be with the students and helps to make sure every student gets to share and that they are following along with the lesson. She is incredibly responsive to emails and questions and she is just a wonderful teacher! If we lived closer she would definitely be getting a cookie basket for teacher appreciation week!
