Author: Elliott, David
Illustrator: Zuppardi, Sam
Publication date: February 1st 2015
Genre:
Intrest Level: 4-8 year old
Text Level:
Teaser: Nobody's Perfect is a picture book where the character flaws of a child's sister, best friend, and mother are put on display. His baby sister is too loud, his best friend is a show off, and his mother is stubborn. An the main character is too messy! Wonderful example learning to accept our friends and family for who they are, not who we wish they were.
Teaching Idea: I would like the students with special needs come in and do work with us. I would like this because I want the children to understand that nobody is perfect and that we all have flaws.
Link to authors trailer for book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elnuf0fP9Qk

Cameron wants to know why his baby sister Sadie is crying and learns that sometimes it’s because she needs a diaper change, sometimes it’s because she’s hungry, sometimes because she’s sleepy, and sometimes for no reason at all.
Teaching Idea: I would have the teachers aid read this book two a group of students who's parents are either expecting or the student already has a sibling. I would have them each draw out what they think that there sibling would look like or looks like already. The students would then compare and contrast drawings.
