Keywords are the important piece to connect sounds to letters. We use short vowels and all words are one syllable. Most words are CVC words. Students use the initial sound of the pictures to help them find a letter. Please use this chart, as students memorize the letter/sound correspondences they fade (discontinue) use of the chart.
