A few days ago Banquo was murdered. He was found with several stab wounds across his body. He was laying in a park near King Macbeth’s palace, Banquo is not the first murdered in these areas but he was certainly very important to us all. He along with fellow Captain , King and Thane, Macbeth fought in the army together and were nearly impossible to defeat. Banquo was a great man, father and husband. He will be missed deeply His son, Fleance, was with him the night of the murder and was able to escape without being killed himself.

Detectives talked to Fleance

When we talked to him last he was quite distraught and all he was able to tell us was that their were three men, but it was too dark to see their faces. We have not yet discovered who these murderers area but we will be sure to keep you updated in the next few issues.

Macbeth hosted

A solemn supper to honor the great King Duncan, who was murdered last night. Lords and Thanes all came to the supper for a toast to Duncan. Unexpectedly Macbeth brought up the subject of Banquo’s absence. He would refuse to sit in a chair and began to yell and stare into the distance. Everyone was confused about Macbeth’s strange behavior. Lady Macbeth seemed worried and said “ Sit worthy friends, my lord is often thus and hath been from his youth. Pray you, keep seat. The fit is momentary; upon a though he will again be well. If much you note him, you shall offend him and extend his passion. Feed and regard him not “ Macbeth returned to normal , only to become crazed once again. Lady Macbeth seemed fearful and the supper ended soon after. Macbeth’s sudden behavior had an great impact on Lady Macbeth as she seemed to be just as shaken up as Macbeth.

Queen Macbeth

Was reported to have walking in her sleep for several nights. According to an gentlewoman, several times Lady Macbeth has gotten up, written a letter, and returned to her bed, all while being fast asleep. The doctor of the town has stood watch with the gentlewoman on two separate occasions. He says “ She traveled by light, with her eyes open, but she could not see us. She made motions similar to those of cleansing her hands. She also spoke but I cannot say what she said” Her majesty's trance may be somehow connected to the strange behavior Macbeth showed on the night of the supper. Even before this peculiar event, Banquo went missing. Is the stress and grief over Duncan’s assassination and Banquo’s disappearance be affecting the mind of Queen Macbeth?

A servant told us she wakes up saying “What’s done cannot be undone” We don't know what she's talking about but sources say many priest come to the castle but area runned out quick by Macbeth screaming “ Even God can't cure her, be gone priest. No one can save us now” We tried to talk to these priests but they do not want to talk about it. Still it's a mystery what's eating Lady Macbeth and when will it end.

The Queen

Is in a sick state according to the doctor in charge of her health. She has been restless and has not been able to get a good sleep for days. On the topic of the Queen’s health, the doctor said “She is troubled with fancies that keep her from her rest. She is constantly waking, yelling in fear. She has become weak, alien to the strong woman she used to be” . The sudden change in Queen Macbeth’s personality is mysterious and troubling. She is in constant paranoia and has visions while awake similar to her past sleepwalking incidents. The doctor in charge of her is doing his best in keeping the Queen calm, but up until now she shows no sign of relief.

Doctor says “ She is en critical condition, i don't know if she can go any further, Macbeth has not showed up.” We go to Macbeth’s castle to ask if he is aware of his wife’s critical condition in the hospital. All he said “She should have died hereafter” What was Macbeth trying to say ? Did he ever loved Lady Macbeth ?

Macbeth

Was killed by MacDuff during the battle between England and Scotland. During Malcolm’s speech as king he mentioned that Lady Macbeth was also dead. He called Lady Macbeth a “fiend like queen” due to the fact she took part in the murder of King Duncan. The doctor than also admitted that when he witnessed Lady Macbeth sleepwalking, she revealed horrible truths about the couple’s crimes. While sleepwalking Lady Macbeth spoke about Banquo being dead and buried because of Macbeth. Her repeated motions were to “wash” off the blood on her hands. The stress put upon her was what gave her fear, which transfigured her. In the end she committed suicide “by self and violent hands” .

We ask ourselves what drove her into this insanity, was it the pressure of becoming queen or Macbeth's tyrannical rule ? Did Macbeth drove her to it or was she already their and we did not see it. No one will ever know, Rest In Peace Lady Macbeth's.

Banquo was a loyal Scottish general in the King's army. His son Fleance still lives after a brutal attack on the two, on the road leading to the palace, by three vicious men. Too soon was he taken from us. He was a hero and a great man who put others before himself and was not one to quickly jump to conclusions. He was strong, trustworthy and did not fall for temptations. As a godly man, he reserved the right to judge for God alone. This quote by an unknown author describes the outlook on life that Banquo had for the short time he was with us. “If all my friends were to jump off a bridge, I wouldn't follow. I'd be at the bottom to catch them when they fall.” His memorial will be at the Church en Scotland . Family and close friends are welcomed - If you want to support Banquo’s family for the expense Call (205) 432-0578 to donate.

During Summer, there was a friendly competition at King Duncan’s castle, all the soldiers and supervisors were their. The final match was between Macbeth and MacDuff. It got very competitive in the castle for the the King's approval and grace of winning. Having Banquo on Macbeth's side seemed he had the higher advantage but what happened things got turned on him and he lost to Macduff, Macduff being a good sport told Macbeth's “ Now,my good sir fun game we should do it again at my place” Macbeth not taking it lightly stormed off with Banquo going after him. Asking Macduff did he believed he would have won but answered “ Something in Macbeth's eyes told me he had no strong lead and Banquo trying to pull him out, showed Macbeth not worthy of playing such a simple game” . We do suppose he went back to tell Lady Macbeth he's lost, if a soldier like him can't win an simple game of chess but win in a battle does he have the chance of becoming king ?
