My name is Eduardo and I study computer sciences. The question I got was “how is the communication between students and teachers in the mexican school system?”
Im not sure if you mean how our relationship is or how do we communicate with them. I’ll just have to answer both.
Usually we only communicate by email however some teachers prefer by facebook chat since its easier.
And regarding our relationship, it varies. Some teachers take a very traditional stance where they simply act like the authority, some are much more close to their students and form close bonds with them.

The question I am going to answer is: ‘’What does your country’s flag symbolize to most of your culture?’’.  As you may know, the Dutch flag is from the red, white and blue. This flag symbolize the country. But the colours have also a symbolic meaning. The Red would stand for the people, the white for the Church and the blue for the nobility. The people because Netherlands is a democracy and they have a lot of public participation. 
The church because there are many religions in our country and any religion has his own church.  The last one, the nobility, I don’t know. I think it is because of our history.

Well we have Sinterklaas, it’s kinda the same as Santaclaus but this is only for the Netherlands and it’s only 1 day. Unfortunately, this tradition isn’t the same as it used to be because there is a discussion going on about the people who help sinterklaas, they are called zwarte pieten which means that they face paint the people black. Black people feel discriminated because of the black color. But they only do this because the zwarte pieten go into the chimney to deliver the presents. So now instead of black people, we have colored people or people with black stripes instead of all black. Next to that we have kingsday, when we celebrate the kings birthday and we have the fifth of May, when we celebrate freedom! These traditions are pretty much the same as they were ten years ago.

First I will give you a short background story on Brexit. Brexit is a term used to describe the event of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. The referendum of Brexit took place on the 23rd of June in 2016. The United Kingdom held the Brexit referendum due to a series of crises that shook the British confidence in the European Union. 

For me, Brexit has only caused a disadvantage. Because, since the United Kingdom will potentially lose the tariff-free trade status with other EU members. The British companies I place orders at will increase their prices due to the high import and export prices as a non-EU member.

I learned several things about their culture the first time we talked via video call, that I didn’t knew before. It was interesting getting to know classmates from a long distance from us. When working on the project, in my opinion it was difficult trying to communicate because of the time zone. Some days we couldn’t get the attention from them at the time we needed, and vice versa. Despite of that little problem, I think it was a fun experience and many good things came afterwards. I learned a lot about their culture through the different activities we realized throughout the semester. It was great and very enriching to be able to analyze the way in which each person and each country works in its own way.
I think it is a very good activity, although a bit tedious because of the schedules that each country handles, but within what fits it was a very good experience and I'm leaving, I feel, with very good friendships.

Nevertheless it was an interesting and fun experience that will aide in my life whenever I have colleagues in another contitnent. I had a lot of fun with my dutch workmates and hope that we still keep in touch from time to time.
I'll be leaving for Germany soon and I'm sure that my experience in these activities will be quite useful.

I really liked the idea of working with someone abroad since we had the opportunity to learn from a new culture and listened to different opinions. I have to accept that sometimes communication was an obstacle since our time zones were completely different. It was a very different experience that we lived in this course. You do not always have the opportunity to interact with people from different countries. It was very interesting to see the way they work on the other side of the world, to analyze the different study techniques and the ability to work as a team regardless of distance.

I think it was the same both ways and that at the end we learned how to overcome our differences and doing assignment.

The difference between hours, the language barrier, our school systems, the subjects were part of the challenge. I’m personally happy because this experiences helped me to decide doing an exchange at TU Delft.

I really enjoyed working on this course on something completely different because I feel a little more ready to be working on a multicultural group.
