There are many ways of munipulating us to buy food, games etc.
Examples of malicious ways advertising can manipulate us are:
1. Catchy or annoying songs. This can also be used with the sound of the person talking, such as Frank Walker from National Tiles.
2. Product owners will pay extra for there advertisment on the radio or on TV to be played over and over again. This will definetly get products stuck in our heads making it more difficult to forget

Lots of advertising connects a product or brand with a particular life style. People who relate with that lifestyle, will feel attracted to these products.
When you feel like "such and such" a person, and an ad or commercial values that, you'll feel willing to buy the product or brand, even if it isn't presented that often in the ad. You'll believe you like the product because it is "like you."

The objective for every advertisement is that they will make more money.
But, it's what people do to the product (most likely food) that makes you wonder whether it is worth buying this item or not.
McDonalds has one of the most misleading advertisments, such as the food. Fries were pinned onto the packets so that it looked neat and tiedy. Also, the sesame seads, on a regular Mcdonalds burger, are glued in perfect formation on the bun. These are just some of the misleading points used to munipulate us.

Advertisement manipulates us to buying the product is legal. The government has tried in multiple ways in the past, but it hasn't worked and in this matter the manipulation of advertisement is legal.
Although, in my opinion the misleading advertisement and manipulating children should be illegal because it is wrong to trick others. Expectations are different to reality.
