         <description><![CDATA[<div>Unicellular organisms (procaryotes). Archaea inhabit some of the most extreme environments, including hot springs, deep sea vents, or very alkaline, acidic or saline waters. Archaeans are not restricted to extreme environments and are also abundant as plankton in the oceans.<br><br><strong>Types:<br>- </strong>Methanogens: Found in bogs, soil, intestinal tracts of herbivores and sewage treatment facilities<br>- Halophiles: Found in environments which are high in salt concentration such as lakes and evaporating ponds<br>- Thermophiles: Live in environments with high temperatures such as hot springs and hydrothermal vents<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Methanogens</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Features Of the Group; </strong><br>Methanogens are an important group of microorganisms. Methanogens produce methane and generally reside in the guts of animals, deep marine sediments and wetlands. <br><strong>Their Roles in the Ecosystem;</strong> <br>Methanogens play an important role in the environment, especially anaerobic ecosystems. They remove excess hydrogen and fermentation products produced by other organisms due to forms of anerobic respiration. They play a positive role in their environments. <br><strong>Present Day Environments; </strong><br>Methanogens can reside in many environments these include, deep marine sediments, human and animal guts, hydrothermal vents and wetlands. <br><strong>Past environments</strong>;<br>Due to the Earth having an anoxic atmosphere in it's early stages methanogens dominated the environments and when the Earth's atmosphere became oxic the methanogens had to move to areas where oxygen was not reached. <strong><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

It lives in a wide variety of moist soils and water.<br>The role of the cyanobacteria in an ecosystem is produce oxygen into the environment.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Eubacteria&nbsp;<br>features of the group - eubacteria has rigid walls and undiffentiated cells. bacteria can be shaped in different ways such as circular, rod shaped, wavy or spiraled shaped.&nbsp;<br><br>role in the ecosystem -&nbsp;<br>Bacteria play an important role in the environment. Many dead materials are decomposed by bacteria. If there were no bacteria, the environment would have been polluted and full of harmful microorganisms. They degrade the dead organic matter and convert it into energy and nutrients. For example, they decompose trees and get their food from them in the form of nutrition. Organic carbon present in the environment in the form dead organism is able to eat up all the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere if there were no decomposers in the on earth. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
