You should participate in class and be respectful. Try to figure out Spanish words before looking at a translator. If you do something to disrupt the class, you will get a firs warning, then second and third. You should also make sure to get to class on time and prepared.

Some of the rules in Spanish class can be remembered by the acronym "SPANISH." "S" stands for Speak in Spanish. "P" stands for Participation. "A" stands for Attitude to be at it's best. "N" stands for Never us a translator until you tried. "I" stands for Interruptions are not allowed. "S" stands for Show up to class on time. I am really thrilled to have a new classmate in our class. :) So far in Spanish Class we've been learning about common greetings, questions to get to know someone, vowels, prayers, and of course, EXPECTATIONS! Senorita Mercado is a really nice teacher and I'm sure you'll LOVE her! Here are some of the expectations in our class: (use acronym) SPANISH
S- Speak in Spanish during class activities, conversations, and lessons.
P- Participation is required in all activities and tasks
A- Attitude is important. Make sure you have a positive and respectful one.
N- Never use a translator before figuring it out through context first.
I- Interruptions and rudeness are NOT tolerated. Raise your hand before speaking.
S- Show up on class ready to learn with all materials and expectations.
H- Homework and class activities are to be completed on time and with BEST ABILITY

For Spanish class, it is super important to be prepared. Always have your notebook and your pencil bag. The easiest way to remember the rules is with the acronym SPANISH.
'S' for speaking in Spanish as much as you can. 'P' for participation, 'A' for having a kind, respectful and motivated attitude. 'N' for NEVER using a translator (always ask for help first). 'I' for not interrupting and being polite and respectful. 'S' for showing up on time, and lastly 'H' for ALWAYS completing your homework and classwork. Spanish isn't a hard class, and help is always available if you are struggling. I look forward to seeing you!!!!
