Understanding international accounting issues is critical to the education of a well rounded and competent accountant. This course introduces and examines accounting issues unique to multinational enterprises and international business activity. Therefore, this is the program core subject and a requirement for accounting profession by ‘Hala Tuju 2’ report for accounting programme at Public Universities of Malaysia 2006 which is based on the requirements of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

Learning outcomes:
 
At the end of the course, student will be able to
1.    Be able to identify the contemporary changes in the international area. [PLO2]
2.    Be able to discuss the worldwide accounting diversity, and effort and obstacle in convergence of financial [PLO2]
