The goal for this is to give the student equal access to school compared to non-disabled students. This plan is set out by the law and are not a part of special education. When setting up the meeting for this plan, the family of the child and the school will come together to discuss what’s needed for the child. There are parent advisors that make home visits to help teach families how to take care of their child. Georgia PINES also provides audiological assessments and has a hearing aid loaner service. To get in contact with them, call (404) 296-7101.

Children’s Medical Services: This program provides medical treatment and case management for children that have chronic illnesses and disabilities. They determine eligibility on medical diagnosis and the financial status of the family. These programs are located by health district. For information on the CMS in the area, contact the local health department.
