I was intrigued on how a person could go from living a very different lifestyle of dealing drugs to working at one of the top colleges (Harvard) and educating students. Along with their 2 younger brothers, they all try to escape him but they always get let down. For example when one of Liz's (the mother of all the kids) fathers takes her and Lucas (the stepfather) to court for a custody trial all the kids are in terror and sit silent with a impassive facial expression.
