The Philippines suffers from rising sea levels, increased rainfall, drought and flooding.

The Philippines’ coral reefs are dying as well, due to climate issues as well as something called blast fishing. Blast fishing is a process in which people throw explosives in the water they are fishing in to make it easier to catch fish.

One major cause of the erosion of their coral reefs is ocean acidification, which is a process by which carbon dioxide in the atmosphere settles and dissolves in the water, causing carbonic acid.
