This quote explains the theme beacuse there was a lot of dreams all the charactors wanted in this book. when they all relise life actully is hard thats where the reality comes in and they relise the don,t have money for a lot of things.This quote shows that Walter usinf a tooken as an example of looking around for the right and the bad.He shows that he undrtsands all the hardship his family goes through.
