         <description><![CDATA[<p>Based on the article I read, student engagement has dipped since the onset of the pandemic and has not bounced back yet. The article mentioned that federal research funding cuts may impact student engagement, so perhaps additional institutional budget will need to be devoted there. Online platforms can be used to connect students that are physically distanced from one another. </p>]]></description>
