I believe the most important skill needed for survival is Hunting, starting fire and searching for water. Some people might think hunting is cruel but if you have no food and you are stranded in a place alone you have to hunt because it is more common than fruits and Veggies. Fire is needed for light, heat and also cooking and water is very essential. Other than that another thing is shelter.
