This cartoon shows that the brands, to some people, are what really matters. An example of it is the school, there we can see and realize that the clothes that people wear play a big role in the relationships they establish. For example, if someone has cheap clothes, we tend to discriminate that person, leaving him/her aside.

What I think is that we shouldn’t do that, because sometimes people don’t have the conditions to afford it and this is none of our business.

Human beings are more important than brands!

I don´t agree with the ideia of " The collar define who the dog is" especially when we are talking about clothes (in human case) it doesn´t have to define you, because, you what you feel good and what you like and the others don´t have the right to judge you just because you are using a diferent clothes or clothes that means that you are something, for example, if you dress something that its considered for boy or for girls.
83 words

The message that I take of this cartoon is that: what you wear is more important than who you are!

More and more, on this days, you see this type of thoughts.

In the schools, where they put the less “fashionable” kids aside, because they “don’t fit in”.

In the working industry, where they hire more “presentable” people, instead of someone more qualified.

In my opinion a generation like ours, who has overcomed so many boundaries and obstacles, who has changed minds can’t have such a cold and disruptive thought.

People value more the sofisticaded lifestyle instead of what really matters.
People tend to look up for the most “well dressed” person in the room, and think that they are extremely important.
But, if the person’s style is a little bit careless, they think that he/she is not as good as the other, because he/she doesn’t dress as good as them.
I don’t agree with that because it’s not what people wear that tells us who they really are.
People are made of their values, not of the most expensive brands!

In my opinion, I agree with this cartoon because they are showing to people a reality from nowadays which is that what we wear defines us. However, I don't think that is correct because it's not because I can't afford fancy clothes that I am less person than someone who can. All of us should wear what we want, what we like and what we can afford and be seen by others based on our personality and not our clothes.

It shows us that we don't need to follow trends, but that people can judge us by what we wear and like to wear, as it can be a different style than what we are used to seeing, whether branded or not. We shouldn't be afraid to show the world who we are and what we like because that doesn't define us as people.

The meaning of the cartoon is that even though the collar is from an expensive brand it doesn't mean that it's better than the normal one and that you should never buy anything like clothes or shoes just because they're expensive, you can always choose to be practical. It also doesn't define you as a person, so if you want to be either trending or just be comfortable, it's your choice. As we said in the last module, "Your body, Your choice".

In this cartoon, we can view three dogs walking and conversating between themselves.

The blue dog and the pink dog are discussing about how important the collar is on a dog, given that it shapes their personality and who they are.

Both dogs brag about their designer collars, which represents their extravagant and snobbish personality, while the yellow dog wears a cheap collar, portraying it’s modest and simple individuality, and the mention of its parasites also expresses uncleanness.
