-  Faust’s mith: “The Tragical History of Doctor Faust” was written by Christopher Marlowe in 1587. Faust sells his soul to the devil for power and knowledge while Dorian sells it for beauty and youth. Faust feels he is not worth to be saved, Dorian doesn't think he needs to be saved or to repent.
