Discuss what you believe is ONE effect of WW1. It can be: social (i.e. affected people), economic (i.e. affected businesses), political (i.e. affected how countries related with one another).

Add an image (can be a GIF file) that would go well with your post. You can also modify the color of your post.

Entry into the war in 1917 unleashed massive U.S. federal spending which shifted national production from civilian to war goods.
about 3million men and women were forced to participate in the war.

I think one of the first world war's effect is economy. The World War I was an economic recession that hit much of the world in the aftermath of World War I. After the war ended, the global economy began to decline. In the United States, 1918–1919 saw a modest economic retreat, but the second part of 1919 saw a mild recovery. So I think that after WW I, the world's economic became weaker

Austro-Hungary was separated into smaller states, Germany lost some land (Alsace-Loreine, some parts on the east) Germany was also poor after the war and their currency started to devaluate, In 1914, before World War I, a loaf of bread in Germany cost 13 cents. Two years later it was 19 cents, and by 1919, after the war, that same loaf was 26 cents, doubling the prewar price in five years. Bad, yes but not alarming. But one year later a German loaf of bread cost $1.20.
