As the co-PI, I work with PARB and CPCLL colleagues, started the CPCLL evaluation and documentation from the beginning of this year. The task has come to the end and I felt very proud to accomplish this project. It is a very complex research study. I am so happy to work with a group of committed people and contributed to the promotion of Chinese Language.

I will be involved in the IDT development in the next year which is a new area for me to explore. I am excited to learn the new things, meantime, I know I need to face some big challenges in developing IDT, such as the technology we need to use, the integration with current platform, the effectiveness in the implementation.

The long term goal is to review our CL curriculum and publish the next Sec CL IMs.

I hope to develop my knowledge on educational technology so as to serve better for the IDT development for the curriculum in the future.

Expertise Area: Tamil Language & Assessment

I had the opportunity to work on two Research projects: An Evaluative Study on the Mother Tongue Support Programme (MTSP) for Mid- Primary Low Performing Students. The findings from the study has provided me with insights to review the current Mother Tongue Support Resources and redesign the new resources for the new Primary 3 curriculum for TL rolling out in 2026. I have also had the opportunity work on the SSTRF project with CL and ML colleagues on a common issue identified. A study on Secondary Students' Experiences of Assessment Feedback in the Blended Learning Environment. This study has provided me an opportunity to learn and practice research methodology and processes.

Yet to begin but is in the pipeline is to evaluate the effectiveness of Oracy Video resource in promoting the use of Spoken Tamil integrating as part of the monitoring process for P2. The challenge is to get the involvement of schools to come on board.

Long Term goal is to see the possibility of developing diagnostic tools that can help identify MTSP students as the checklist being used is very subjective.

Learning to use quantitative analysis in depth.

This is very relevant to the preschool work that I am doing currently. Though I was roped in at the 11th hr, managed to prepare myself for the sharing on EdTEch at the WTTC conference in Canada.

The MTL MK Curriculum extension project. It is still fluid, and the team has to adapt and be agile with the progress.

I will be involved in the Bilingualism research (MK curriculum extension) in 2025. I will also be cowriting 3 chapters on the Gibber project.

I need to develop skills in data analysis using SPSS.
