         <description><![CDATA[<div>Universal design is well established in architecture but fairly new to education. (Dell, Newton, &amp; Petroff, 2017)<br><br>Universal design focuses on the environmental to help accommodate students with or without disabilities. For example: creating ramps, entrances or exits that make the building more flexible. (Dell, Newton, &amp; Petroff, 2017)<br><br>Universal design for learning focuses on educating teachers and educational professionals in making curricula and learning environments more accessible to a wide range of individuals. UDL focuses on the big picture (learning environment) versus one student. (Dell, Newton, &amp; Petroff, 2017)<br><br>Assistive technology is the technology itself that improves and increases the functions of students with disabilities. (Dell, Newton, &amp; Petroff, 2017)<br><br></div>]]></description>
