He has a much better time there and even gets to play quidditch at the most dangerous position. First years can’t do quidditch. Harry’s house wins the house cup because of quidditch and him defending himself against  Lord Voldemort, who killed his parents.

When he got to Hogwarts they said that there would be no quidditch cup because they were doing the Triwizard cup. Three schools participate. “... Hogwarts, Beauxabatons, and Durmstrang”(Rowling 187). 1 person will compete from each school. You have to be in you 6th year or older. Harry is only in 4th. When they find out who it is Harry and Cedric Diggory were pulled out. Viktor Krum, a famous quidditch player, was pulled out, and Fleur Delacour was also pulled out. The first task was dragons and Harry already knew because of Hagrid. Sirius helped Harry. Harry got the most pints for that. Then the next task was going really far underwater and rescuing someone that means a lot to you. Harry got the second most points because he was out of the time, but saved Fleur's sister. The last task you hadn’t to get through a maze and grab the cup, but Harry and Cedric got there at the same time so they both grabbed the cup at the same time and it was a portly and it brought them to Lord Voldemort. Voldemort killed Cedric, but Harry and Voldemort dueled and there curses deflected because they had the same wand. Harry got to the cup and returned to Hogwarts. He found out one of the teachers was disguised and he was actually one of Voldemort’s followers who made the cup a port key.
