In the speech it talks about Lincoln wanting to honor the  battlefield to the dead and the living that fought for the Union. This shows his personal voice. He also talks about the value of freedom, stating that we should have a new birth of freedom that makes all men equal. As he speaks, he has a sense like of president authority, stating or ordering that we dedicate the battlefield to the union and he also talks like a president is required. The Gettysburg Address shows the urgency of the national crisis because the speech includes what problem we’re facing and states that we have unfinished work that we need to fight for and we should not give up.
