Hlokoma’s physical development is progressing very well. He can sit steadily, roll from side to side, and crawl with confidence. He is beginning to pull himself up against objects and is on track to start walking soon. Hlokoma can also hold his bottle independently while drinking, demonstrating good coordination and control.

Fine Motor (Art):

Hlokoma’s fine motor development is progressing nicely. He enjoys creative activities such as finger painting and messy play with foam, which help strengthen his hands and fingers. He can also use a pinch grip to pick up small objects with his index finger and thumb, demonstrating growing precision and control in his hand movements.

Gross Motor (Music and Rhythm):

Hlokoma’s musical and rhythmic development is progressing well. He enjoys participating in morning ring, clapping, and moving along with the music. When Anna sings “upsy, upsy,” he responds by saying “down,” demonstrating his understanding and engagement. He also enjoys shaking a rattle along with his friends, showing his developing sense of rhythm and enjoyment of group activities.

Hlokoma’s visual development is progressing very well. He enjoys watching bubbles, following them with his eyes and attempting to catch them. He also tracks colourful ribbons as they move in front of him, demonstrating strong visual focus, hand–eye coordination, and curiosity as he explores his environment.

Hlokoma’s auditory development is progressing well. When a toy producing sounds is held next to his ear, he turns his head towards the sound, demonstrating growing awareness of auditory cues and developing listening skills.

Hlokoma’s social and emotional development is progressing well. He is a sweet little boy who enjoys interacting with his friends, although he can be possessive of toys he loves and will quickly take them back if a friend tries to use them. Hlokoma shares a special bond with his best friend Nkosi, and they love playing together on the castle, going up and down the slide. He is comfortable in his class environment and demonstrates growing confidence in social interactions.
