The Internet provides access to a wide range of information for students and while students have access to MORE information at their fingertips, the skills they need to be successful students is more than knowing how to use Google.  Students need instruction in digital literacy techniques and learn how to search deeper and learn how to analyze the information they come across on the Internet.  Finding information using Google is not the end of their search, it's just the beginning.

Students, staff and parents can access amazing online resources on campus computers—classroom, library & computer labs—or at home via internet.  Two of our favorites databases are:

Explora -Secondary Schools - This general reference database for grades 6-12 provides full-text coverage of many topics via magazines, newspapers, reference books, eBooks, biographies, radio and tv news transcripts, primary source documents, maps, images, and more.   

Points of View  is a pro/con database great for persuasive or debate research for all content areas and provides research guides, charts and curriculum standards.   

Databases are ‘CRAPP Tested’, provide Lexile reading levels, audio read to support our EL and Connections students, auto MLA citations and more!
