We have different committees designated with different tasks and goals all revolving around the idea of preventing substance abuse, specifically in adolescents. Given that adolescence is a crucial time in which individuals are going through a critical period of brain development, the use of illicit substance such as alcohol, vape, tobacco, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, etc. would severely inhibit brain development which has severe consequences on the teen's future.
