this is discursive in nature but it is more of an op-ed which serves as a platform for people to discuss whether such tactics are ethical (and whether they should therefore be regulated)

• Title is kinda eponymous but it's essentially a compendium of entertaining descriptions about how historically pervasive diseases wreak havoc in the human body, that are also digestible to the average reader

The United Nations portrayed in the media always seemed to be diplomatic, charismatic, progressive. With each agent of the UN came stern instructions, forthright in their sayings and resolute in their actions calling in support for the needy and rescue for the masses. Yet in our reality they are a far cry from the statuesque saviors that come swooping down to protect us from any disasters. They are a bureaucracy. And I for one think it is a largely ineffective one. (synopsis)
