Driving has a major impact on many peoples lives. It gives you transportation without having to rely on waiting for somebody else to drive you to places. Unless u always want to pay for Uber. Also, by that age people are normally expected, by their parents, to pay for their own things except food and basic everyday needs. Some parents give their kids an allowance or will give them money for doing some chores. At age 14, you can apply for jobs so people typically have money. They also make their own plans with the people that they want to be with. That means no more play dates. Also, you can see most movies when you turn 13, except the R rated movies.
