The authors reasoning is to show us opinions of people on "To Kill A Mockingbird " and how people feel about the book still being taught in schools today.
I agree that it should still be taught in schools. I feel this way because I feel that it is important for students to see what has happened in the past because of racial discrimination. Even though it may make students think that because they are a girl or black certain things will not be fair. I still believe it is important to show us that we need to be different and learn from our past.
