Tampereen lyseon lukio is the only school in Tampere, which has international classes. We attend both finnish and international classes. During our stay the normal school building is being repared, so we go to substitute school. Tampere is industrial city, but many factories nowadays work as galeries and museums. The city is located between two large lakes.

Durnig my stay here the school is under reconstruction but I take classes normally. I've been going to ProCivitas private Gymnasium in Uppsala for a week and honestly, everything is going amazing. The school building looks modern, both interior and exterior. The students told me they even have "mentors" who help them with their work and discuss their future. The classes are interesting and the teacher make an effort to translate the lessons to English and give us work, which is also always translated. They make sure we feel included in the lessons and like to stop us for a chat and ask how we're doing and if everything is okay. Even the students are being friendly and welcoming, making sure we have someone to talk to and we feel comfortable. Another thing I like about this school is that they have these lessons called 'Study hall'. During this time, all the teachers are available for anyone to discuss anything.

Colegio Internacional Lope de Vega / Lope de Vega International School is, as the name suggests, an international, private school, located in the city of Benidorm (south of the Valencian Community). Since it is a private school, everyone is obliged to wear a uniform (which is honestly quite nice as you don't have to overthink your outfit every morning...:D).

It is a huge complex of many different constructions (the dormitory, café / buffet, football fields, gym / fitness room, courts for paddle tennis, room for free time activities, study boxes, classes, and much, much more of which I haven't discovered yet...but soon I surely will...:D). Apart from the buildings and school equipment, the people here are so far just amazing. They are here for us whenever we need them, always opened to help, laugh, chat, play games...

And finally, to say a few informations about the city of Benidrom itself, it's a colorful city, full of high buildings, lights, shops, bars, and slot machine arcades. I call it the Spanish Las Vegas :D

Right beside the city stretches a beautiful long beach, where you can watch the magic of a an everyday sunset.

Newton School is one of the oldest schools in Waterford and the interesting thing is that the school consists of several smaller buildings between which students move to different classes. It's also interesting that the school doesn't get hot and it's quite cold there, but the local students probably don't mind if they only wear a T-shirt to school :).

Newtown School

Newtown School is multidenominational, coeducational independent school with both day and boarding pupils. It is located in Waterford, in the south of Ireland. Students here are able to choose their subjects such as physics, biology, geography, spanish, french, arts, music, economics, business, etc. Students are also seperated into different levels in their classes, so that everyone gets the right education suitable for themselves. Once a year, they have to write big exams from their subjects, all in one week. One exam is 1 and a half hour long and they can have up to 3 exams a day. Seniors are getting ready for their final exam so they do not have to do these regular exams.

Newtown is also a bording school, so it may happen that there are more Spaish and German people in your class. There is nothing wrong with that, quite the opposite. I think it’s great that people from different cultures get to know each other. Even though most foreign students are here only for a year, they still made friends and memories for a lifetime.
