Welcome to Gordes, France! It is one of the most famous villages of Provence. In addition, it is the most well-known and beautiful hilltop village in France. Immediately when I arrived, the atmosphere is peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. I stayed at Hotel Le Jas de Gordes; it was made of Bories (dry stone huts), like most of their architecture. It was known as the best hotel in Gordes and it was slightly in the heart of Gordes. The service throughout the entire trip was incredible. The workers were so nice and patient! At the first, I enjoyed the sunrise and the view was out of this world! After that, I headed to Le Teston for coffee and an immaculate crispy croissant; this was a great way to start my morning. After breakfast, I visited the Museum of Stained Glass. The most beautiful art that I have ever seen was held in that museum. The guides are so nice as they inform us about the origin of glass. All the walking made me build up an appetite! I then headed over to La Trinquette, where I had stuffed squash and burrata that was topped off with white truffles; and let’s not forget the bottomless bread! To walk off lunch, I headed over to The Castle of Gordes. Not only is the outside outstanding, but so is the inside. To end off the day, I enjoyed macarons from Ladurée. After the first bite, I was speechless and in awe of how something could taste so good. I still had some adventurous spirit in me so I head to The Cellars of the Palais Saint-Firmin. This man-made cave just set off the end of this journey with information on how it was significant in earlier periods. This trip overall was both relaxing and informational, but the view was the cherry on top!

After your arrival and absorbing the beautiful view, you have to complete your morning with a trip to Le Teston for a delectable cup of coffee with a complementary croissant. The balance with a rich taste of espresso and a sweet strawberry jam spread over a toasted croissant equals heaven. Le Teston is known as a hidden gem in Gordes, France. Because of its peaceful atmosphere, it's not as touristy as other parts of the village.

To continue this perfect day, let's head over to La Trinquette! With the bottomless bread and drinks, you won't be the only thing that is stuffed! Try their beautiful buttery-flavor stuffed squash blossoms with a rich and milky burrata. The textures combine to create a delicate, creamy interior with a soft, fresh exterior. Both are topped with shaved white truffles. This fusion creates an earthy and pungent flavor to fulfill any appetite!

Gotta sweet tooth? Pop on over to Ladurée for the best macarons! These airy meringue sandwiches have a smooth, yet crisp, exterior. It includes fillings with a variety of fluffy creams, jams, and ganache.

Bring your cameras to capture the history and origin of The Castle of Gordes. Its beautiful architecture still withstands, even after 900 years. The medieval castle, built on a spur at the top of the village, was built originally in 1031 and then rebuilt in 1525. Not only is the outside magnificent but so is the inside. From the elegant spiral staircase to the remains of what was in the castle, it just gets better and better.

On our first stop, we see the Museum of Stained Glass. The guides were very nice and explained the information very well. I learned the origin of glass and how glass was important for science. The different pictures and images made with the colors helped articulate the culture and origin of glass. The mixing of blues, reds, and greens with the sun peaking between the glass made the guide that much more interesting.
