I use this rubric to evaluate lab report in students of 2^ year of high school. IBSE assessment is shown particularly in explore-explain-evaluate phase.
Advantages: students can have this rubric before starting work and they know how are evaluate.
Disadvantage: is less flexible than formative assessment.

In the video, Jordi talks about the use of controversies in the teaching of science. I think it is the way to escape from a rote learning as science is really learned. A very recent book (although in Spanish) about the use of controversies is: Teach and learn about the nature of science through the analysis of controversies in the history of science (Enseñar y aprender sobre naturaleza de la ciencia mediante el análisis de controversias de historia de la ciencia), by José Antonio Acevedo et al.

I didn't know any other rubric to assess IBSE but due to this module I researched on the internet and found a paper in which three models of rubric are object of analysis. The three rubrics are inckuded in the pages from 18 to 21 of the article.

I am also uploading these score slips that I give to students for each IBSE or practical work activity. After some search on the net I found a rubric that I feel I can incorporate in my asessment of IBL activities. This rubric seems appropriate for middle school learners who will be actively involved in every stage of the IBL. The advantage is that evry stage of the IBL is covered while the disadvantage is that it is too much in detail and students may lose marks if steps are skipped
