I've been meaning to write to you for ages now so don't worry! How did your exams go? When will you know your results? I'm sure you did brilliantly as always!

As for me, I'll have been in the new job three months by the end of next week so I'm feeling more settled in. At first I felt like I had no idea what I was doing but now I realise it's normal to feel like that. There was a lot to learn – there still is actually – and I soon had to get used to the idea that I can't know everything. I used to work late a lot and at weekends but I'm slowly getting into a normal routine.

Which means I'd love to come and visit! We really need a good catch up! I can't believe we haven't seen each other since Carl's wedding. How does next month sound?

Anyway, I'd better get back to work.

However, I was curious to know more about job description, especially your roles and responsibilities. As well as, what are the future prospect of the role? I’m sure you must have carried your own research before applying for the position but I want to know how closely it is relatable to your current job.

As you know, interviewee only get about an hour to impress interviewer and land a job. It is quite essential to utilize this time effectively to showcase your strong abilities and how that would be useful for their organization. I would advise to practicing the whole process by yourself before appearing for real one.

How are you? Hope your doing good. I heard that you have interview after few days so I’d like to give some advice that helps me alot. My best advice is to be yourself and to be honest about yourself and your skills. If you try to fake it the very worst thing that can happen is that you’ll be hired and unable to satisfactorily do the job. It’s not just that the employer would be stuck with you for a while, it’s that you’d be stuck in a job that doesn’t suit you. So trust yourself and be yourself and be direct about what you are good at and the areas you aren’t as skilled. I don’t at all mean that you should be negative about yourself, put yourself in the best light that is honest. Don’t dwell on the negatives but at least acknowledge to the interviewer that you may have some growing to do in those weak areas. There’s something about people who are confident enough to present themselves as they really are that’s attractive to interviewers. An employer can work to train you and enhance your skills but it would have less luck in enhancing the honesty and confidence of a new employee.
