Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is renowned for having the highest standards of morality and manners. Historical reports provide numerous examples of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. displaying exemplary character.

The Prophet’s wife Aisyah r.a described the etiquette of her beloved husband,
“His character was the Quran”.
(Sahih Muslim)

In the Quran, Allah s.w.t. described the Prophet s.a.w.:
,وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ”
And you are truly an excellent standard of character. Surah Al-Qalam(68:4)

In one of the hadiths, the Prophet mentioned that one of the main purposes for his appointment as a prophet is to perfect the moral character of the people. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w said:
“I was sent to perfect good character.”


Therefore, as a Muslim we need to behave with good manners towards others. Instead of being rewarded, it can also strengthen the bond between each other.

The Prophet s.a.w says in his hadith that translates:
"The best of companions to Allah is the one who is best to his companions, and the best of neighbours to Allah is the one who is the best of them to his neighbour."

• Islām (إسلام), which is described with the "Five Pillars of Islam,"
• Īmān (إيمان), which is described with the "Six Articles of Faith,"
• Iḥsān (إحسان), or "doing what is beautiful," and
• Al-Sā’ah (الساعة), or The Hour, which is not described, but its signs are given.

This hadith is found in both the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and the Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim collections.[2] It has been named "Ḥadīth Jibrīl" (the Hadith of Gabriel) by Islamic scholars because the archangel Gabriel appears to Muhammad and those around him in a human form.
