For example, almost all of the photos that my partner and I needed, were being taken by the other class and they kept pushing back the date in which they would be finished processing them.

I am most proud of my first spread because the layout worked really well with the photos so the spread looked cohesive.

I learned that the focus of the photo and how clear it is, effects when the readers will see it.

1). Taking pictures – it was hard to figure out which spreads needed what pictures + making time to take pictures for that event.

2). Working together to create spread pages – we were all able to contribute to the process of creating the entire yearbook itself in all deadlines.

3). Story telling behind each caption – each page has it's own story to tell and you can easily visualize it!

4). Not write too much or too little – Lots of spreads had either way too much writing or too little and I think that's something to improve on.

The biggest challenges I faced with the yearbook was probably finding a good-looking layout for each spread (Excluding deadline 2). Another challenge was the graphics, as they took forever.

I'm most proud of the copy for the leadership spread, as I put a lot of effort into it, and thought it turned out quite nice.

It was so good, after I made it, It didn't need revison.

I learned that our cameras help freeze time, capture moments, so that people can show each other and tell stories with photo evidence.

I also learned that the best layouts are pretty simple, not like 9 photos and captions in one spread, thats too much for the average person to take in, and would bore you out.

Something I might do differently for a persona project, is study color theory, to make the colors flow better, as I think I have layouts pretty good.

Some of the biggest design challenges I faced with the yearbook were getting god graphic. We didn't have a lot to choose from all the time, and the lack of graphics towards the end of the yearbook is something i wish we could have fixed, as some are also too repetitive like the bee graphic was. Another thing was coordinating with other spreads layouts and designs, trying to make them look consistent -- which i kind of felt our yearbook didn't have.

What i'm most proud of in the yearbook design is our yearbook theme itself -- the cover, the color scheme, the play on words.

When creating the Yearbook, we were gathering memories and photos from throughout the year. I learned that in visual storytelling everything needs to be cohesive and work in harmony together to tell that story, and layouts matter when doing this.

I want to get better at coming up with creative layouts and keeping a consistent aesthetic vibe throughout the magazine.
