         <description><![CDATA[<div>While going through the interactive website, I noticed that certain organisms shared more genes than others, and they appeared to be on a phylogenic tree, that looks similar to a cladogram. I also saw that as more organisms diverged they became more complex. I also see different ways to organize the organisms, such as multicellular, invertebrates, or mammals. This separates the organisms into more specific groups that are more common.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All of the organisms in the chart are from a common ancestry (since the chart starts from one point), and share many genes with one another. The actual organisms change their colors based on what sort of organism they are, as animals being pink, plants being green, bacteria being blue, the archaea being purple, and fungi being orange. Only three organisms have their own colors, these being the fungi which is yeast, then malaria which is yellow, and the archaea which is purple. Each organism splits off as they gain evolutionary traits that separate them from other species of the same ancestry. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Based on the observations I made, I can infer that organisms that are more complex are more closely related (or share more genes) with other complex organisms than organisms that are simple. I can also infer that these organisms came from a common ancestor because they all share some common genes. You see this in the tree where the most complex, the dolphin shares 217 common genes with the most simple, the M. Jannaschii</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Google says that the difference between archaea and bacterium is that <strong>Archaea differ</strong> in the fact that their cell wall does not contain peptidoglycan and cell membrane uses ether-linked lipids as opposed to ester-linked lipids in <strong>bacteria</strong>. so my question is why do those small differences justify a need for another class?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>the bacteria went through lots of evolution due to change in environment, and kept evolving until it went from simple to complex life. creating its own genetics and adaptations to survive, and as more adaptations were needed, more species were created. being in different environments also led to different types of adaptation, which would also lead to different/new species depending on the location.</div>]]></description>
