It takes some encouragement and guidance to get him going but once you do he will give you what he can. He does not focus on his writing sometimes and when he is in a hurry or tired, his handwriting can be big and hard to read, but when I ask him to focus, he can better his handwriting so it is a little easier to read. He surprises me with what he comprehends, sometimes I wasn't sure if he was getting it so I would explain it again and when we did an exit slip, he knew what the answer was and was able to easily answer the question.
