Some teachers have different strategies for the topic they teach. One math teacher may know how to solve an equation a different way than the way another teacher may know. Students should have an open mind on learning different ways to solve the same equation. Learning new ways for the same problem can be beneficial because they may understand one way better than the other.

To be open to new ideas you have to respect others ideas. When it comes to sports you need to be encouraging to others although you feel as though there opinion of the play is wrong. Being open to others ideas of the game allows you to become a better sportsman. As apart of being a team you have to be open to ideas from your coach, even though you may argue. Taking advice on certain plays may allow you and your team to win the match.

We are all living in the same world, yet we are made to believe that we are different based on social and political views. Race, gender and sexuality are all things we are told make me different from my neighbors. Politics is one of the major examples of why close minded individuals do not produce good results. Many people refuse to accept the truth because it is not what they have been taught, which creates turmoil in our government, which transfers down to the populace. If we had an open mind and listened to each other, we could realize that most people are not all that different.
