Hannah was struggling through her high school years (mid-life crisis alert), with people adding on to her pain. The story takes place through main character Clay's eyes, who is a part of the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Though it seems like a realistic fiction, towards the end, it is definitely not. Some Harry Potter magical stuff pops up. Main protagonist, Hallelujah Wonder (AKA "Lu Wonder"), had her father die about a year ago. Her dad collected a lot of treasures from his explorations and this guy named Captain Greeney got jealous and decided to assassinate him, he was looking after the Medicine Head, in which if you destroy you will never die, which sucks. America signs up and is chosen to her surprise to participate, her being one of the few fives (caste system is made up of numbers 1-10, 1 being royal and 10 being peasants).
