Begining

On the saturday morning i wake up and get ready to go to the train station. I had i backpack and one suit case. I wore my white Mission trip shirt paired with jeans and black shoes. At around 2 pm my mom drove me to the gambir station. I arrive to the gambir station at around 3 pm. Then we gathered together to take our train tikets. And finally it was time to say goodbye to Jakarta.

On the train, i wasn’t making alot of friend. Until i met Chris, Chris was a hyperactive kid, he introduce me to his friend. It took us 10 or more hours to get to Malang. Sadly most of the time in the train i was sleeping and watching. Soon we arrived at Malang at 5 am.

Day 1

We arrived at malang at 5 am, first we headed to the church where we are gonna doing some activity in there. But before that we are greeted by some food. The food was nice and the place was lovely. After eating we go get change. Then, we all sing and dance at the church.

After leaving the church we gone to a place where we can make our batik. It was fun until i spill some of the paint in my pants, but don’t worry it can be washed off. Overall it was fun.

Finally, it was dinner. For dinner i chose to eat empal and rise. It was very good. After eating we went back to hotel and go get some rest.

Day 2

On monday, i wake up and got ready to go to the panti ODGJ. Before we go me and my friend go get something to eat at the hotel.

After we arrived at the panti i was assigned to accompany them by playing basket ball. It was fun, i really enjoy playing basket ball. After we play basketball we all are assigned to share our feeling after playing with the people. After sharing our opinion we are asked to do some execise for the people. Then we have to say good bye to the panti but before that we toke some picture with the panti.

Next we go get some food but unfortunately i forgot what do we eat.

After eating wo go to a panti asuhan. There we are assigned to accompany children. So first me and my friend started the sesion by doing a ice breaking. After the ice breaking we go get some tote bag for the children to draw at. After the children were finished we go play some basketball and volley.

This was one of the most exciting things. Sadly we have to say good bye to the children although i wanted to play volley again.

Finally we go get some food and went back to the hotel.

Day 3

On tuesday, we are going to a school to teach some children, but before me and my friend go get ready for today. After getting ready me and my friend go get some food.

First, we go the school and we are greeted by some food. After eating we go to our own class and teach some student. I was assigned to teach mandarin. It wasn’t hard but I think the children are having a hard time to keep up. After teaching we doing some experiments. And finally we are done teaching and go get some pictures with the children.

Then we go get some food and headed to make art out of clay.

First we paint a clay pot after that we. Make anything with clay. It was fun, i really enjoy it.

Finally we get back to the hotel and get some food

Day 4

On wenesday, we are going to 2 different schools, one of them was the same school as yesterday and one them are different. One we teach elementary, and one we teach junior high school. At the first school i was assigned to teach mandarin. So far I haven’t found any issues with the children.

After teaching and socialize with the children we go make ice cream and take a picture.

After that we go to another school where i teach some math and english. After teaching we make a lava lamp, and took some picture.

After that we go to a souvenir store and get home.

Day 5

At Thursdays, we go to bromo. Me and my friend chris took the same jeep with alot more friends. First we took the jeep to a pretty nice mountance called teletubies and safana mountains. There we took some pictures with malang 1 and 3. After that we go to one more place but i forgot what its called. Then we go to high tower to see the sunset but I didn’t see it because i was too busy eating. First i tough it wasn’t cold but as time goes by the weather change and it started getting colder. But i left my jakets at the jeep so i need to handle the cold without the jakets. After a long day of taking picture and telling stories we went back to the hotel and get some rest.

Day 6

On friday we go to a panti weirda. It wasn’t much activity to do but i still enjoy it. First we sing together and than we give them a tote bag to draw at, and finally we take the last picture at the Malang. After a long week of YIM we finally went back to Jakarta. At the station me and my friend sits together playing card and go to the train canteens. But it was all fun until we have to say goodbye to each other.
