Malaysian Muslims celebrate two major festivals. Hari Raya Puasa is the first festival, marking the end of Ramadan. This is a key festival because Ramadan requires followers of Islam to fast for a month. The second festival is Hari Raya Haji, which is celebrated on the tenth day of Zulhijjah (the month of Islam). This is also when Muslims perform the Haj in Mecca and sacrificial worship.
