I’ve grown up getting comfortable with figuring things out on my own and when it came to furthering my education after graduating high school, there was a fear of not being able to afford for college. I was raised up by a single mother who gave the world and more to give my brothers and I a wide variety of opportunities that she didn’t particularly get while she was growing up. It was a goal of mine to make sure furthering my education after high school was not going to be a stress on her in regards to the expenses of attending a university. I was blessed to be able to receive a great amount of scholarships from generous donors that made what seemed impossible possible for me to be able to achieve. From being able to enhance my knowledge within my field of interest to building my character as I mature as a man, I’m grateful to have been granted access to being one step closer to living out my dream and finding myself! I am blessed to be able to afford to complete my undergraduate degree at such a prestigious university. After receiving an undergraduate degree at a large state school, I had no idea this quality of education was possible. I have enjoyed all of my professors and the intimate classroom settings. I’m not sure if I’m doing everything correctly or if I’m missing something.I’m the oldest daughter and first gen in a Hispanic household is like a nightmare, I’m seen as the savior and hope for the family, but I’m doing good in my own eyes.
