         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Leslie Richard Groves was chosen to be put in charge.<ul><li>He, however, was a part of the military and didn't know about science.</li></ul></li><li>They needed someone else to supervise the actual science about it.&nbsp;<ul><li>They found Julius Robert Oppenheimer.</li></ul></li><li>The pair was trying to find a good site to use.</li><li>They explored many areas and found “Los Alamos” in New Mexico.<ul><li>They ended up buying this property.</li></ul></li></ul><div><br>The picture below is a view of Los Alamos in New Mexico.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>After working for a long time, Oppenheimer was told they wouldn’t have enough Uranium for one bomb until mid 1945. This shows how rare it is.</li><li>The plutonium, however, was easier to get.</li><li>In mid March of 1945, Roosevelt was told that testing of the atomic bomb would most likely be ready by the summer.<ul><li>Enough Uranium was produced.</li></ul></li></ul><div><br></div><div>The picture below is what Plutonium- 239 looks like</div>]]></description>

         <title>5. President Truman</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>On April 12, 1945, Pres. Roosevelt died.</li><li>Everyone working on the Manhattan project was extremely upset.</li><li>The same day, President Truman was sworn into office.</li><li>After about an hour of him becoming president, he was immediately told about the atomic bomb.<ul><li>This means that the bomb was such a big secret the Vice President didn't even know of the atomic bomb.</li></ul></li><li>Just about a month later, Germany surrendered from the war, ending the fighting in Europe.<br><br></li></ul><div>The picture below is President Truman.</div>]]></description>
